Hello Guys,
because I think this is one of the hardest quests and - unfortunately - wikipedia of SWG doesn't provide a proper guideline to it, I try to give you one. This guide does not include the pre-quest "Something is Obviously wrong", because its well described by the wiki of SWG! See swg.wikia.com/wiki/Something_is_Obviously_Wrong for further informations!
Quarantine Zone Questline (also known as Death Trooper Themepark)
**Quest 1: Find the Stormtroopers**
Go find HX-138 at the Camp Epsilon in the Quarantine Zone at /way -7463 -7392. If you have been there before, you can use the Smuggler right next to the starport to smuggle you into the camp! After you have seen HX-138, this part of the quest is complete.
**Quest 2: Rescue the survivors**
This is the hardest part of the quest at all. It requires at least a full group or more to be made*. You have to rescue 4 scientists back to the campsite of Camp Epsilon (where HX-138 is located) in total to make it through the quest. The Quest will provide you with waypoints where each of the survivors will spawn. When you make your way to the waypoint, the survivor will spawn and you are able to talk to them. Important (!): After you have talked to the survivor, the survivor will run straight back to the camp without noticing that he's being surrounded by a horde of zombies!
So, there are two strategies to do this:
First Method: If you have many people out there, split them up and assign them: one group protects the survivors and one group clears the path of their way back to the campsite. The group, which protects the survivors, should talk to their survivors at the same time (otherwise they split up while running back) and stick with them! The survivors tend to get aggroed - and once they got aggro, they choose to fight instead of running way (this is actually the part that makes this quest so hard!).
Second Method: The whole group moves towards the position of the survivors. When they get to the location, the players with the quest talk to them and you escort and protect them. It is important to keep moving with the suvivors and stick with them! Once more it is important that all survivors run back together. You don't want them to split up. If you can't manage it at all, save the survivors one by one for each member of the group. It is most important to keep the aggro off the survivors, so you should know the route they take and watch nearby zombies that might be aggroing the survivors.
Third Method (Hard mode):
Its actually a way to solo this quest, but it's really hard and can be frustrating. Because I only did it as spy - and I cant speak for Jedis, Medics etc. - I can solely provide a guideline to solo it for the spy profession (Someone might make an addition here).
Required Profession: Spy
Jewelry Set: 5pc razor cat. This is a must have, because it gives you 100% buffs against snare and root effects! The zombies will otherwise root you and kill you quicker than you can imagine.
Expertise: You should have the avoid damage buff, protections and smoke and mirrors (for the second heal). Burst of the shadows can help, though I didn’t use it at all.
Buffs: as many defense buffs as possible. The best buffs are the GCW-Buffs, especially the Legendary Warrior buff is quite helpful for this attempt. I did it with Medic buffs, GCW-Buffs, mustafarian injector, tac stims, heal stims.
35s attachments: you absolutely need 390 camouflage or higher on your armor! I did it with 390 without any powerups or specialized exotics to have more camouflage. The zombies won’t detect you with 390 anyway, not even the lvl 95 zombies.
Mood: Don’t get frustrated too early!
Weapon: Get a non-commando heavy weapon such like the Acid Stream Launcher. Use it in free targeting mode. You need this, because it’s a AOE Weapon that can aggro several zombies at the same shot.
The Method: So, when you fulfill all the requirements mentioned above, you can start saving the survivors! You move towards to your waypoint while being stealth. When you reach the survivor, talk to him and start running with him! (Due the speed debuff while being stealth, you might as well use a speed modifier buff (food, ent buff etc.). Once again, it is highly important to run with the survivor and keep up with him. You’ll notice that some of the zombies close to the waypoint, where the survivor starts running, won’t attack him. I think the survivor – when he starts off – is some kind of invisible to them for a short period of time. The best way to do this, is to do some test runs while being stealth in order to learn his route and the zombies that tend to attack the survivors. Once you’ve made this learning experience, you might start your attempts: when you have started running with your survivor, turn on all your defense buffs on and aggro the zombies on the route of the survivor (you will get a feeling when you have to turn on your defense buffs, rather do it when you start aggroing the zombies) – it is important to aggro them before the survivor gets to them, including nearby zombies on the sides: aggro only the relevant zombies. This way, the survivor can make it easily back without being aggroed himself.
With this method, you can solo all 4 survivors. The last one – of course – is the hardest one. It will require you most likely to try it several times (rinse & repeat). I did it without getting a new entertainer buff. When you have a buff-medic, just put him in camp epsilon and let him run a buff macro, so you dont have to care for the rebuffs.
I failed the last survivor – I guess – like 5-7 times until I made it.
**Quest 3: Collect The Shuttle Parts**
You have to collect 4 parts at different locations:
Fuel Cells: -7399 -6848
Spinal Trunk: -6998 -7403
Computer Core Memory: -6541 -6893
Power Converters: -5915 -6645
Hint: at each location – when you activate the item – lvl 90 zombies (4-5) will spawn. Its easy to deal with them as long as you’re well equipped or you’re in a group.
After you’ve searched all 4 locations, return to mechanic (you get a waypoint, he is near to HX-138.) After that, you return to HX-138.
**Quest 4: Admin Access**
HX-138 will send you to the imperial inquisitor. No worry, he is nearby. He will give you the next quest series.
You are supposed to go to the big building next to the bunker. Its located at /way -7381 -7434. Your task is to find a key of one of the corpses lying around in the building: radial menu them and use “Search corpse/body”. There are 4-5 corpses that can have the key. Your group member can find it on the same corpse or not: it is completely random. In big groups, you usually have to search the whole building for all corpses.
**Quest: 5 Research Facility Quest**
Part 1
The Imperial Inquisitor will ask you to enter the central bunker at the camp epsilon. The blueprint of the bunker is identical with the Death Watch Bunker: so aces of dwb farming won’t get lost easily.
Your first task is to go to a “Command Console” at /way -7376 -7350. When you talk to the console, it will show up several options. Please choose “Main Power” first and then “Departments”. It will activate the next part of the quest. You need to find two parts to continue: one drops off from any zombie walking around – kill them until you find it. The second part is located at /way -7458 -7332 inside the bunker: it is called “Damage Control Computer Module”.
After you have collected both parts, return to the Command Console and fix both terminals to the left and to the right of the Command Console. After you have done this, choose “Damage Control Information Systems” and “Internal Communication Systems” and then “Backup Systems.” Now you're required to find the Cryogenics Labor. Choose “Departments” and click the option that mentions the “Cryogenics Laboratory”.
Part 2
Now go to the Cryogenics laboratory at /way -7286 -7471. First click on all the Cryogenic storage units located inside the first room. When you clicked all units, you're asked to go to the office, which is the next room at /way -7288 -7448 (you'll get the waypoint). Clean the zombies in this room and then converse with the “Science Console”. The Science Console will require you to search two corpses at /way -7280 -7461 and /way -7298 -7476. Return to the Command Console again. You are now asked to kill an easy lvl 90 boss in the room /way -7270 -7451 and then return to the office. Then return to the Science Console. You will be sent to the “Command Console” right next to the Science Console: talk to it until you get the Quest called “Stupid Vents!”
Part 3
Stupid vents! - you have to find 5 vents (you will receive the waypoints) and fix them. Beware that each fixing will trigger 4-5 lvl 90 zombies. Deal with them right away when they spawn. For spies: stay in stealth mode and fix the vents. The zombies despawn right away when you stay in stealth.
After you have completed this part, you are asked to find “Lower Command Console” at /way -7346 -7533. When you talk to it, use the first option in the conversation options and you'll receive the next part: Find Dr. Driffax.
You will receive a waypoint for Dr. Driffax, who is near to the Lower Command Console (same level). After you have talked to him, he will become a lvl 100 boss that can either be killed by a group or soloed by a well equipped player (I did it as defense stacker spy with gcw rank buffs). If you're doing this quest in a group, you have to talk to the npc and defeat the boss several times until all group members have accomplished this part. After you've defeated him, go back to the Lower Command Console again and choose the second option (recieved comm). You will receive the Quest: “Meet the Survivors”.
Part 4
Meet the survivors – go to the room way back in the bunker at /way -7626 -7467 and talk to Doctor to the left (a female Twi'lek). After you have talked to her, click on the ladder behind her and choose „Open hatch“. You will get warped outside on the head of the bunker. Move a bit to trigger the quest. Now you will have to escort the survivors back to the camp – but they won't be attacked by the zombies, so don't worry! After they have reached the camp, you click on the Lambda Shuttle inside the camp. Now you return to the npc which gave you the quest initially – thats it, the quest is done.
Thanks for reading. After all, if you find any mistakes, please post a correction and I will add them!
